Public BBQ

This fabulous little town welcomes travelers with a unique camping experience for just $5 per night. The park offers great toilets and a water tap, with the convenience of a locked box for cash payments. It's situated close to a pub, winery, distillery, and a service station with a general store, making it a great starting point to explore Seppeltsfield winery and Tanunda. The area's beautiful old Red Gum tree is a notable attraction. Facilities are clean and well-maintained, including super clean unisex toilets and water taps for tank filling. The parking area is wooded, a bit sloped but manageable. The local Greenock Hotel pub is just a 5-minute walk away and offers a great menu. For those in vans, the park offers a picturesque view over the oval. However, some spots are uneven, so levellers might be needed.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Light council.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

You should first check with Light council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
